Spanish Language Outreach in MT Libraries

WELCOME! According to a 2007 ALA report, "some 78% of libraries nationwide develop programs and services in Spanish, the number one non-English language used in public libraries these days." The MTSLO blog gives Montana librarians a place to share ideas and develop successful outreach activities for Spanish-speakers in their local communities.

Webinar

Diana Miranda at Austin Public Libraries in Texas did a webinar on selecting Spanish language materials for the collection.

I've not watched it yet, but it sounds interesting. Here is the link to the Texas State Library & Archives Commission blog to get access to the archived webinar (Wimba) and Diana's PowerPoint. Might be worth a look!
